The tour is designed as a ten day tour which covers cities like Negombo, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa , Kandy , Nuwaraeliya , Ella , Thissamaharama. In this tour you have the chance to visit Ancient cities, national parks and beautiful hill countryside

Day 1

AIRPORT / NEGOMBO - SIGIRIYA

Early Morning Departure to Sigiriya: Begin your journey with visits to a roof tile factory and a pineapple plantation, followed by a stop at the famous Pinawella Elephant Orphanage—a well-known sanctuary for rescued elephants. Here, you can observe and assist in feeding the baby elephants from giant feeding bottles before they wander down to the river for their daily bath.

In the afternoon, explore the magnificent Sigiriya Fortress, the ancient royal palace of King Kasyapa (477–495 A.D.), rising majestically above the forested plains.

End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 2

SIGIRIYA - ANURADHAPURA

Breakfast and Journey to Anuradhapura: After breakfast, depart for Anuradhapura, enjoying a scenic drive through small towns, lush green villages, and coconut groves, offering a glimpse of Sri Lanka’s beautiful inland landscapes. Along the way, stop to taste fresh king coconut, pineapple, mangoes, and other tropical fruits sold by local vendors.

Anuradhapura, the most extensive of Sri Lanka’s ancient cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, served as the island’s capital for over 1,300 years until the 10th century AD. Today, its grand monuments stand preserved amidst shady trees and vast ancient parklands.

During your tour, you will visit the Archaeological Museum, the Sacred Bo Tree, the Brazen Palace, the Royal Palace, the serene Samadhi Buddha, Kuttam Pokuna, and many other historical landmarks.

Day 3

SIGIRIYA - POLONARUWA

Breakfast and Visit to Polonnaruwa: After breakfast, depart for the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Sri Lanka’s royal capital from the 11th to 13th centuries. The city still preserves magnificent statues, royal palaces, temples, and walkways, all surrounded by lush greenery and frequented by local wildlife.

In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting safari at Minneriya National Park, famous for its large gatherings of wild elephants, before returning to your hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 4 - 5

POLONARUWA - KANDY

Journey to Kandy:
After a memorable elephant ride through the jungle, proceed to Kandy, stopping on the way to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a batik factory, and a spice garden in Matale.

Upon arrival in Kandy, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth, followed by an entertaining traditional cultural dance show in the evening. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Kandy.

Kandy City Tour (Next Day):
The following morning, embark on a city tour of Kandy, then visit three important ancient temples situated just outside the city:

  • Gadaladeniya Temple

  • Embekke Temple

  • Lankatilaka Temple

Day 6 - 7

KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA

ourney to Nuwara Eliya:
After breakfast, visit the beautiful Peradeniya Botanical Garden, then proceed to Nuwara Eliya, one of the coolest regions on the island. The climate resembles a mild English spring day, though temperatures drop noticeably at night. As you enter Nuwara Eliya, you will see clear signs of its colonial heritage—country-style cottages, Tudor-style homes, and Queen Anne–inspired mansions.

Along the way, visit a Sri Lankan tea plantation and a working tea factory, and enjoy the unique experience of plucking your own tea leaves.

Day 8

NUWARA ELIYA - ELLA

ELLA - TISSAMAHARAMA

Proceed to Tissamaharama, visiting the Buduruwagala Standing Buddha Statue en route, followed by an afternoon or morning safari in Yala National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Tissamaharama.

Day 10

YALA - NEGOMBO

After breakfast, proceed back to Negombo via the beautiful southern coastal road, visiting the Dondra Lighthouse, the Blow Hole in Dickwella, the Weligama fishing village, and the turtle hatchery in Unawatuna. End of the tour.
