Day 1
AIRPORT / NEGOMBO - SIGIRIYA
Early Morning Departure to Sigiriya: Begin your day with visits to a roof tile factory and a pineapple plantation, followed by the famous Pinawella Elephant Orphanage, a sanctuary where visitors can observe and help feed baby elephants from giant bottles before they make their way to the river for their daily bath.
In the afternoon, explore the majestic Sigiriya Fortress, the ancient royal palace of King Kasyapa (477–495 A.D.). Conclude the day with dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 2
SIGIRIYA - ANURADHAPURA
Breakfast and Journey to Anuradhapura: After breakfast, depart for Anuradhapura, enjoying a scenic drive through small towns, lush villages, and coconut groves, offering a glimpse of Sri Lanka’s vibrant rural life. En route, stop to savor fresh king coconut water, pineapple, mangoes, and other tropical fruits.
Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was the capital of Sri Lanka for over 1,300 years until the 10th century AD. Explore its ancient monuments set amidst serene trees and historic parklands. Highlights include visits to the Archaeological Museum, Sacred Bo Tree, Brazen Palace, Royal Palace, Samadhi Buddha, Kuttam Pokuna, and more.
Conclude the day with dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 3
SIGIRIYA - POLONARUWA
Breakfast and Visit to Polonnaruwa: After breakfast, depart for Polonnaruwa Ancient City, a UNESCO World Heritage site and former capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to 13th centuries. Explore its splendid statues, ancient palaces, and walkways, all set amidst lush greenery and watched over by local wildlife.
In the afternoon, enjoy a safari at Minneriya National Park before returning to your hotel in Sigiriya for the evening.
Day 4
POLONARUWA - KANDY
Morning Elephant Ride and Journey to Kandy: Begin your day with an elephant ride through the jungle, then continue to Kandy, stopping en route to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a batik factory, and a spice garden in Matale.
Upon arrival in Kandy, explore the Temple of the Tooth, one of Sri Lanka’s most sacred Buddhist sites, followed by a traditional cultural dance performance in the evening. Conclude the day with dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Kandy.
Day 5
KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA
Final Day Excursions: On your last day, visit a wood carving factory, explore the gem museum, and take a stroll through the Peradeniya Botanical Garden before returning to your hotel.
Day 6
NUWARA ELIYA - ELLA
Scenic Train Journey to Ella: After breakfast, you have the option to travel to Ella by train, a picturesque journey through lush tea plantations offering some of the most stunning views of the Sri Lankan countryside. Our driver will drop you at Nuwara Eliya train station and pick you up at Ella station.
After checking in to your hotel in Ella, you can climb Little Adam’s Peak, explore Ravana’s Cave, or simply relax by one of Ella’s beautiful waterfalls. Conclude the day with dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Ella.
Day 7
ELLA - TISSA
Journey to Tissamaharama and Yala Safari: Depart for Tissamaharama, stopping en route to visit the Buduruwagala Buddha standing statue, an impressive rock-carved monument. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting safari in Yala National Park, home to leopards, elephants, and diverse wildlife.
End the day with dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Tissamaharama.
Day 8
YALA - NEGOMBO
Return to Negombo via Southern Coastal Road: After breakfast, depart for Negombo along the scenic southern coastal road, stopping to explore the Dondra Lighthouse, the blowhole in Dickwella, Weligama fishing village, and the turtle hatchery in Unawatuna.
End of the tour.
